When I was looking for a 360 camera I settled on the Samsung Gear 360. I got the Gear VR when I got my Samsung Galaxy 7 phone and decided to go ahead an grab the Gear 360 camera. It’s great, it’s compact, lightweight and portable. You can shoot stills or video. The video function allows you to shoot in full 360 utilizing both lenses or one lens at a time to shoot in 180. There are two versions, the 2016 and the 2017 version. Over the past few months this year I’ve had it, I’ve had many opportunities to use it. The image quality struggles in low light here you can see it works fine with plenty of artificial light all around.
I used at a couple of concerts. Macklemore and 311. Using the standard camera thread connection below I attached a selfie stick or mono handheld stick to it. I could see above the crowd and using the wifi connection to my phone was able to see what the camera could see. Overall I would recommend for those looking to get started or experiment with 360 video.
Great 360 Camera
